Easy movies to learn English: how to pick a scene
Learning English with movies as a beginner is a question of choosing the right thirty seconds. Every scene here is graded A1 or A2 and comes with a full transcript.
- Animation first. It is recorded to be understood by children, which is exactly what you need.
- One character, one scene. Two speakers at this level is two problems.
- Pick a scene you already know in your own language. Knowing what happens frees you to listen to how it is said.
- Short lines beat slow speech. A six word line at full speed is easier than a long one slowed down.
What these scenes give you
Easy English dialogue from films and series, with word by word timing so you can see exactly where each word lands.
- Everyday phrases in situations you can picture.
- Clear delivery, because animation and family films are recorded that way.
- A path onward: the full movie collection once these stop being a challenge.
