- Look, I can't go on a trip right now.3:31
- I have rehearsals coming up for my show at the pond.3:35

- I guess that leaves me.3:56
- Mott's can fly.3:57
- Yeah, but you just fly right into the sun.3:59
- I would, wouldn't I?4:04
- Well, not to toot my own horn, but owls are known for their expertise on the wing, even in absolute darkness.4:07
- Wish me luck.4:15
- Oh, dear.4:17
- My vertigo.4:18
- Oh!4:19
- Oh!4:19
- Well, I guess that leaves you, Crow.4:22
- Come on, guys.4:24
- There's plenty of birds that can run your errand.4:25
- I've got a show to do.4:27
- Look, there is not gonna be a show at the pond if we're all frozen solid.4:28
- Give me a break.4:33
- I'm an artist, not a messenger boy.4:34
- I've got rehearsals.4:37
- I've got my fans to think about.4:38
- So that's all we are to you, fans.4:40
- Uh, whoa.4:44
- And I thought you were.4:45
- I thought you were more than just a voice with feathers.4:47
- Whoa.4:52
- But I guess I was wrong.4:52
- Look, it's not like I'm saying it would be hard.5:03
- So you'll do it?5:06
- Yes.5:13
- So Crow began his journey to find the one who creates everything by thinking.5:19
- Break a leg, Crow.5:27
- Thanks, Luna.5:28
- This ain't as easy as I thought.5:29
- But don't really break a leg.5:31
- Crow, there is no place for a bird.5:39
- You need to get back down to Earth.5:42
- Hey, watch the feathers.5:45
- Sorry, see, that's exactly what I'm talking about.5:46
- Hey, that's not down.5:49
- You're going the wrong way, Crow.5:50
- Wrong way.5:52
- Whoa, that's me.6:11
- Man.6:19
- Hey, big guy.6:26
- That's got to be the place.6:43
- A couple more flats, Crow.6:48
- Oh.7:03
- Oh, bird.7:03
- I wish Crow was back.7:04
- Oh, well, I thought he'd be back already.7:06
- Who knows?7:09
- Maybe he found someplace warm and we'll never see him again.7:10
- No.7:16
- I know he'll do whatever he can.7:17
- Make any sacrifice to save us.7:20
- Unless something happened.7:22
- What if he's in trouble?7:25
- I will go find out.7:26
- No, Moth.7:28
- You won't be able to resist the sun's warm, soothing glow.7:29
- I can handle the sun.7:32
- No.7:33
- Moth.7:34
- Whoa, would you look at this place?7:48
- Crow had found the palace of the one who creates everything by thinking.8:03
- The source of the entire universe.8:08
- And he can only imagine the majesty of the spirit that lived within.8:10
- Hello?8:27
- Wake up down there.8:29
- The view from the blue sky.8:34
- It looks so good when you're up high.8:38
- I remember that tune.8:42
- It was stuck in my head for weeks.8:43
- Who are you?8:46
- I...8:48
- I've been sitting here way too long.8:48
- So, what brings you here, Crow?8:54
- You don't know?8:57
- I mean, you are the one who creates...8:58
- Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, I know.9:00
- You want me to unthink the cold.9:01
- Exactly.9:05
- So, your friends pick you to be their big hero because of what?9:06
- Your sweet voice and pretty feathers?9:10
- Well, I'm more than just a voice with feathers.9:13
- You better be.9:15
- For their sake.9:17
- Look, I'm enjoying our little chat, but back on Earth, those friends of mine are getting colder.9:18
- But I can't unthink what's already been thunk.9:24
- That's a rule I thunk up.9:25
- Is thunk a word?9:28
- Your thinking is what got me in this hot mess in the first place.9:30
- Hot?9:34
- That's it?9:35
- Hold on to this branch.9:36
- Branch?9:38
- Whoa.9:39
- Now, watch in amazement as I make it burst into flames.9:40
- It's hot!9:45
- You're dying right, it's hot!9:47
- It's fire!9:49
- Well, don't just stand there.9:52
- Go!9:54
- Hurry!9:54
- And whatever you do, you must not let that torch burn out.9:56
- Let's see what you're really made of.10:02
- Kroll!10:14
- Kroll!10:17
- Where are you?10:18
- Yeah, what the heck is gotten into you, animals?10:19
- But you should never look directly at the sun, and I mean especially you.10:22
- I tried to try, don't look.10:25
- They know what that means.10:26
- Because I know how attracted you are to my rich, mesmerizing.10:26
- You be quiet, mister!10:29
- So?10:30
- You're right.10:31
- You will not hear me say another word about my inviting golden orbal.10:32
- Would you be quiet?10:35
- Uh -oh.10:39
- Ay, que rico!10:42
- No, no, watch again.10:44
- Get back.10:45
- Snap out of it!10:50
- Oh, I found you!10:52
- What are you doing up here?10:53
- I thought you might need some help.10:55
- Help?10:57
- No, sir.10:58
- When the one who creates everything by thinking heard my song, she stopped her thinking and gave me this amazing gift of fire.10:59
- Look at it.11:06
- Can you feel it?11:07
- It's warm!11:08
- Whoa.11:10
- And so, the show will go on.11:11
- Ow!11:14
- My feathers!11:15
- My feathers!11:16
- Oh, no!11:20
- The fire!11:21
- It's gone!11:23
- I failed.11:28
- I failed everyone.11:30
- You're wrong, Crow.11:35
- You will not give up.11:37
- You will do whatever you can, make any sacrifice to save us.11:39
- You really think that?11:44
- No, that's what Skunk said.11:46
- I figured you found some place warm and we're never coming back.11:48
- But Skunk, she believes in you.11:51
- She does?11:54
- All right, Crow.12:02
- Let's see what you're really made of.12:04
- Yeah, well, whatever it is, it's flammable.12:06
- Crow!12:10
- No!12:11
- Come back!12:12
- No, no, no, don't do it, Crow!12:12
- Your feathers!12:14
- Come on, my eye!12:15
- I am so old.12:22
- Look!12:27
- What is it?12:38
- It's so warm.12:41
- Oh, yeah.12:44
- Oh, yeah!12:47
- I feel like myself again, turtles back!12:49
- Yeah, baby!12:52
- Hey, race you home!12:55
- I win!13:00
- Hey, everybody!13:02
- Moth, you're okay!13:04
- I did not fly into the sun and you should have seen Crow.13:05
- Oh, he was like...13:09
- wait, where did he go?13:11
- Oh, oh, oh.13:14
- It's car.13:21
- Fire.13:24
- Crow?13:26
- Are you okay?13:27
- Oh, oh, oh.13:44
- Skunk, is that you?13:49
- Crow, I'm so sorry.13:57
- It's okay.14:00
- You can't help it.14:02
- I'm not talking about that.14:05
- I like your smell.14:10
- It's kind of earthy, you know, in a good way.14:12
- Really?14:19
- I should be the one to apologize.14:21
- I've been a real jerk.14:24
- Acting like I was better, better than you, better than everyone.14:26
- Well, looks like I got what I deserved.14:31
- You're not gonna stop singing, right?14:38
- I used to have perfect pitch.14:43
- Nobody's perfect.14:46
- Okay, Crow.14:57
- Now, let's see what you're really made of.14:59
- Oh, what's happening?15:05
- Crow, your feathers!15:13
- Look!15:17
- Whoa, my colors.15:19
- They've been in there all along.15:23
- The view from the blue sky.15:31
- It looks so good when you're up high.15:35
- The blues come round, they won't get me down.15:39
- I can make you.15:42
- What do you think?15:45
- I actually like your new voice.15:47
- It's kind of earthy.15:50
- Yeah, you know, in a good way.15:51
- Bravo, maestro!15:55
- Hey, why'd you stop?15:56
- The view from the blue sky.16:03
- It looks so good when you're up high.16:08
- The blues come round, they won't get me down.16:11
- I can make my escape.16:15
- I'm not sly like a fox.16:19
- Don't bite like a flea.16:21
- Or, gradually, you would never run away from me.16:23
- But think of all the things they could never see.16:27
- It's better when you can fly.16:31
- Oh, the view from the blue sky.16:34
- It looks so good when you're up high.16:38
- The blues come round, they won't get me down.16:42
- I can make my escape.16:46
- Oh, everybody sings, but not like me.16:49
- But as much bad to hear above the truth.16:54
- Look up in the sky, I'm a sight to see.16:57
- It's better when you can fly.17:01
- The view from the blue sky.17:05
- It looks so good when you're up high.17:09
- Oh, but when I'm down, won't you come around and help me make my escape?17:12
- No matter how high a crow can go, there's gonna come a time when it's brought down low.17:20
- A hit rock bottom that I just don't know.17:29
- Oh, it is better when you can fly.17:35
- I'm excited to share my new animated short film with you, Crow the Legend.18:00
- Inspired by a Native American legend, it's the origin story of the crow, who once had beautiful plumage and a clear singing voice and became known today for its black18:06
- feathers and calling voice.18:15
- I voiced the part of crow and wrote an original song for this movie.18:17
- The story is about inclusion.18:21
- It's about self -sacrifice for the community and how we are all connected.18:23
- We, Baobab Studios, Native Americans in Philanthropy, and my studio, Get Lifted Films, felt that these themes are universal and perhaps especially relevant today.18:28
- One of the cast and our co -producer, Sarah Eagleheart, taught us on this journey the little -known history of many Native American youth being forced into reeducation camps, where18:38
- they were forbidden to tell their stories like this, whose roots are indigenous to this continent.18:48
- We feel it's important to share this beautiful story with the world.18:53
- I was excited to share it with other amazing talent including Oprah, Constance Wu, Diego Luna, Liza Koshy, Ty Sheridan, and Native American rights crusaders, Sarah Eagleheart and Randy Edmonds.18:57
- As my character Crow says in the movie, check it out, I hope you'll dig it.19:12
